DNC Statement on Rosh Hashanah

In celebration of Rosh Hashanah, DNC Chair Ken Martin and Interfaith Council Co-Chairs Cindy Bass, Reem Subei, Indira Duggirala, and Johnnie Roebuck released the following statement:

“For our Jewish friends, family, and neighbors, the start of Rosh Hashanah is a time to gather to reflect on the past and celebrate what the next year has in store. The Jewish New Year marks a period for renewal, forgiveness, and hope for a brighter future.

“As Jewish people across the country and around the world come together for the New Year, we also recognize that the holiday serves as a reminder of the Jewish community’s resilience. With antisemitic attacks on the rise, we recommit to condemning all forms of threats and violence, knowing that we can be united in this moment.

“So, in this period of reflection during Rosh Hashanah, we look forward to the year to come.

“Shana Tova and a sweet new year to all who celebrate.”
