DNC Launches New Distributed Organizing Campaign To Boost GOTV Efforts Ahead of the Mobile, AL, Mayoral Runoff Elections

Ahead of the Mobile, Alabama, mayoral runoff election, the DNC announced a new organizing initiative to supercharge GOTV efforts and carry Alabama Democrat and state Rep. Barbara Drummond across the finish line to victory. Republicans’ deeply unpopular, extreme agenda is leaving Alabama families struggling to afford basic necessities, and they’re ready to demand change at the ballot box. In this final sprint to Election Day, the DNC is supporting the mobilization of Alabama voters and ensuring they know there’s a strong Democratic leader on the ballot who will champion working families — not peddle a disastrous agenda that screws them over.

Through the geotargeting and identification of persuadable voters via the DNC’s data and analytics team, the DNC’s organizing team will send out texts to thousands of Mobile voters to rally behind Rep. Drummond and ensure Democrats claim victory in this mayoral race.

DNC Chair Ken Martin released the following statement:

“The DNC is proud to support state Rep. Barbara Drummond and Alabama Democrats with their GOTV efforts to win the crucial Mobile, Alabama, mayoral election next week. My mantra as DNC Chair is ‘organizing everywhere to win anywhere’ — and that’s exactly what we’re doing in Mobile. Democrats are laying the groundwork to ensure working Alabamians have a strong Democratic leader in their corner who will fight to expand economic opportunities, invest in education, and ensure Mobilians have access to quality health care.”
