DNC Announces New Organizing Technology to Win Elections Everywhere
August 19, 2025
After hosting an RFP process in April for the new tools and technologies that will power the next generation of Democratic organizing, the DNC announces new pilot programs to help Democrats win
Today, the DNC announced new tools, technology, and pilot programs to modernize and expand its organizing capabilities to ensure Democrats win elections for decades to come. In April, the DNC held an open RFP process to shape the next generation of organizing technology. The RFP invited proposals for a broad range of tools, from innovative voter contact technologies to streamlined volunteer management platforms. The DNC knows that, to remain competitive, Democrats need to redefine the tools we use to organize and communicate with voters and volunteers.
The DNC is proud to announce that the following tools and initiatives were selected for a pilot program to better engage new and existing voters, organize volunteers, and host events and rallies — both online and offline. These tools were selected for their ability to keep up with the evolving needs of modern campaigns. These needs include the ability to organize early and everywhere, build up and support community leaders, and tightly coordinate digital and field strategy.
These new tools and programs include:
- Next Generation Voter & Volunteer Relationship Management Systems — The DNC will pilot tools that provide the essential infrastructure for targeting voters and tracking our interactions with voters and volunteers through new systems.
- Voter Engagement Innovation — The DNC will pilot software that encourages high-quality interactions with voters, and automates meaningful follow-up to build longer-term relationships.
- Event Management Platforms — The DNC will pilot platforms that empower our supporters to participate in virtual and on-the-ground actions, signing up for and hosting their own events across the country.
The DNC will begin to use these tools and initiatives immediately — with pilot programs starting in the Virginia and New Jersey Democratic parties ahead of the November 2025 elections.
The DNC will continue to build on successful tools and processes from these elections ahead of the midterms in 2026, to have a powerful slate of tools and technology ready for the 2028 presidential election cycle.
DNC Chair Ken Martin issued the following statement:
“We take our responsibility seriously to ensure that Democratic campaigns everywhere have the best, most modern, and most effective tools available to engage with voters and win elections. For nearly twenty years, the DNC has taken too measured an approach in assessing and funding emerging tools and technology to communicate with voters. These new tools are a key step towards accomplishing the DNC’s goal: organizing everywhere to win anywhere. We’re excited to be piloting and investing in innovative and emerging technologies that will benefit the Democratic ecosystem and campaigns for years to come.”
