Donald Trump and shadow President Elon Musk may have separated in May, but between the Epstein files and their devastating budget, the divorce proceedings are far from over. In their latest spat, Trump and Musk are splitting up the GOP, both fighting for sole custody of the future of the party that just passed the most regressive budget in modern history. 

DNC Deputy Communications Director Abhi Rahman issued the following statement:

“Trump’s MAGA party is splitting at the seams in the wake of his nightmare budget bill. Republicans are waking up and facing the reality that they just signed their own pink slips, and are desperate for someone else to blame. While Republicans are lined up in a circular firing squad, Democrats are unified and gearing up to hold Republicans accountable across the country in the run-up to critical 2025 and 2026 elections.”

… while Democrats are focused on holding Republicans accountable for cutting Medicaid to line the pockets of their billionaire donors (like Musk).
